As always, we are pleased to premiere Canadian maverick Kkidss' latest record. Step once again into this crazy world of the DIY genius...
The record opens with a such an uplifting track. Like, seriously uplifting. And it proves to be a taste of the new direction the DIY genius Kkidss is taking; crazier and more imaginative than ever. It feels like Kkidss has rediscovered an excitement and energy we first encountered during the first releases. Let's look at some of the tracks, starting with Last Echo, a sound typical of the style we have come to know and love. Touch adds a sense of madness in the air. Mommy is like being on a cloud. We are purposefully using short sentences to make a point...what is going on with this record? It's mad, weird and magical at the same time. Though tracks like Jesus Sucks sound a bit too much like Daniel Johnston, other numbers such as ESP offer the listener a chance to "at ease" and relax into the end of the record. It's a jouney, and one we advise you to take...
