With the release of a new EP Locks and their debut record on Howling Owl Records, the Bristol based outfit Milo's Planes have a busy few weeks ahead of them...
Today, you get to hear the first taste of Milo's Planes real first outing. The track, Locks, will feature on both their forthcoming eponymous EP as well as their début entitled Delivery Business Success! Locks is a raw sounding, loud, anxious record which feels like the trio is ready to burst. The bands told Third Outing;
"It’s about how we've created a persona that’s kind of a different version of ourselves in order to allow ourselves to fit into the routine; the banal conversations and the formulaic and bureaucratic way everything gets done. It’s also about how we use this to do the absolute bare minimum and constantly procrastinate (writing lyrics, playing Scrabble on the phone, writing stuff like this for blog features) and are able to do so with no one noticing.
If we delve a little deeper though, Locks is really a song about the burden of having a lot of keys. It’s an anthem for the thriving and ever growing caretaker-handyman based faction of our fan base. Let me see those keys in the air, guys! Musically, the song was originally intended as a super mellow acoustic one, but after coming up with a couple of other riffs we decided to spruce them all together into one noisy little parcel of #hardrock".
Let's hope your boss doesn't read this Shez! Pre-order Locks here but grab one fast, it's limited to 50 copies!
