Scottish band PAWS have been tapped to open on The Cribs‘ upcoming North American tour, which makes for a pretty great pairing. In the meantime, the band have unveiled a new song, Omaha, about "the reflections/second guessing of one’s actions, the stability of new friendships and relationships with family members", the band told Brooklyn Vegan.
Glasgow-based Spinning Coin are on the rise. They've played with Teenage Fanclub recently and soon, they will support Dinosaur Jr in their hometown. Their début record Permo will hit the shelves in November. Listen to the first song from this album Sleepless below...
And finally, the new single from our favourite idiosyncratic pop charmer Jonnie Common is out via Indie label Song, by Toad Records. Restless explores the introverted side of the Scottish songster, reminding us again after his foray into the world of Christmas song, that Common is one of the best sounds to come out of Scotland in the last few years.
