Here we are: Wednesday, and it's raining (again). Might as well continue the week with great new songs, and you're lucky, 3rd is giving you the best of the very best; la crème de la crème.
Let's start with a brand new video from CHUCK, who released his final record (as CHUCK) called Frankenstein Songs for the Grocery Store in August. The track, Happy Birthday, is nearly as good as the video clip!
London based Honey Lung have released a début EP entitled Kind Of Alone. Among the new songs out the latest one called Stuttering Mind showcases a more melodic side of the band.
This next one is from Yorkshire. Indie outfit Party Hardly, who made us a great Yorkshire playlist, have chosen a different direction on this new track Mindchanger. Great artwork too!
In the second great come back of the week, Canadian Harley Alexander returns with Tiny Bricks. About the new album, he states "I'm proud to share a song that I wrote this Spring. Like the rest of the album, the music was written to soothe and reconnect with parts of myself that I've neglected or straight up cut out as a means of survival from childhood sexual abuse and the patriarchal conditioning that so much our culture functions on. My hope is that this can help other people to bravely explore and embrace themselves in more full and expansive ways. I can't always be a front-line activist in the battle for equality, truth, and healing but we aren't all made to aid in the same one way. This is my way."
And finally, a tribute to Grant Hart, drummer and songwriter for the influential rock band Hüsker Dü, who has died at the age of 56 years old. The cause of death has not been announced, but Variety reports that he had been fighting cancer. Re-connect below...
