French artist KCIDY has got a natural flair for experimental catchy melodies. But she has got the all important swag; that's a big part of her style. With a full LP almost finished, it's time to introduce KCIDY...
"I’m a 26 year old musician from Lyon, and I spend my days playing music. KCIDY was my first project, it's a solo project where I use mainly voice and synths. Now there are four members, and it’s more 'live oriented' music. I’m also playing in Satellite Jockey (keyboard and voice) and in Tôle Froide (drum and voice)".

"In Lyon there's a pretty good energy! There's a lot of people dedicated to live music, and it’s helping the alternative scene. There's a good bond between all the artistic fields which stimulate the creative process".
"I get my inspiration from a lot of different stuff. I guess all the music I've listened from my childhood until now fed me".
Big time! There's still bits and bobs to fix, but overall it’s pretty finished. I just hope people will like the new sound...
When KCIDY rages, she usually does it with stealth. On No One See, the different sounds, shapes and atmospheres all merge into one song. But all of these little elements are here for a good reason: they support a strong, seeking melody. KDICY manages to capture the essence of music at its simplest, which resonates in ears for days.
With Running On The Roof, KCIDY also proves she's got hard-edged, exhilarating, swagger, which whizzes confidently through the track. You get the sense that she's ready for anything, so strong is the new-found assurance, steadiness, and clarity in her voice. Though KCIDY is an artist from Lyon, her songs have a drifter's perspective that suggests it's for someone, somewhere, anywhere and everywhere.
