HINDS are the up and coming Indie band of the year: here are 5 reasons why the girls from Madrid should be your favourite band in 2015 too.
Harrison Ford. Yes, you've heard me. Amongst the most craziest rock & roll things HINDS have done, and trust us it sounds like there have been a few, one involves partying and jamming at Han Solo’s, yes Indiana Jones’, okay let's be serious now Blade Runner’s house in LA! Swallowing puke on stage and spying the Black Lips warm up back stage in London come second and third in the girl's top three rock & roll moments!
Incredible. HINDS only started as a band one year ago! It's been a whirlwind of success for the four Spanish musicians since. From playing in home town Madrid to opening for The Libertines and Black Lips, HINDS are convincing the world they're going to be the next big thing. The girls just got back home from the beaches of Cadiz where they recorded the new record. ‘We are happy and dizzy at the same time. It's such a big deal, so many songs, so many options'. If it’s anything like Bamboo or Castigadas En El Granero then we're in for a treat!
Demarco. The goofy capped Canadian singer song writing genius Mac DeMarco is HINDS' number one influence! ‘We met on tour cause we played a festival together and then we spoke to have beers in NYC a few months later'. Oh to be enjoying those salad days! But DeMarco? Come on! I think most readers are now jealous.
Swag & Sexy. THAT’S 2 S’s! I think it speaks for itself! HINDS have got the look and the luck these days! Talented doesn't do Third Outing’s favourite Spanish girls justice. ‘Our music is messy garage to pop and beach to the city’…well after such a crazy and successful world tour, it’s safe to say HINDS have achieved much more than a messy garage pop style. But wow! Doesn't that still sounds great? Ladies and gentleman; Damas y Caballeros. It's safe to say that HINDS will be rocking till sunrise for a long time yet: HASTA QUE SALGA EL SOL!
