Naked Chillen takes us on a haunting wild ride with this weird experimental pop from outta space.
Decidedly, Victoria BC abounds in talented young men who charm 'babes' with their late night rock and roll. And this time, we are rather excited to present you Naked Chillen, a friend of El Yoshida's, with whom he enjoys to play a weird experimental pop from outta space. With this second project Man Dog Love, Naked Chillen brings a melancholic touch of weird goofy pop, especially with songs such as Kyoto Cowgirl. It's a song with a rather haunting rhythm, where all sorts of wild-eyed memories are rising, but nevertheless quite pleasant to slow dance to. Naked Chillen's approach to song writing is extremely important. It's the artistic interpretation of a feeling/mood or an image/aesthetic in his head. Though he is already focusing on another project with El Yoshida, Man Dog Love has shown enough qualities to fill us with great expectations in the future!
In short, listening to Naked Chillen feels like a dreamy car ride along the sunset, a late summer night or a morning caress. Jakob, the man behind Naked Chillen, appears stone faced, but when you listen to a song like Do You Think I'm Sexy? you realise deep down that he dreams of romance and goofy walks on the beach too.
